Salon Furniture Collection by Lee Broom

Shoot1.2 Salon Furniture Collection by Lee BroomAt the London Design Festival in September 2011, award-winning British designer Lee Broom launched his fifth collection. His dramatic debut upholstery collection is called ‘Salon’ and is inspired by the curvaceous lines of 1930s upholstery.

Whilst studding is traditionally used in upholstery to hide elements of the manufacturing process, Broom has chosen to focus on this detail and exaggerate it, creating an edgy modern look, which echoes similar finishing found in luxury fashion accessories and punk rock couture.

The collection has been brought to life through a  combination of traditional techniques and contemporary finishes.”
