Family Café With a Playful Look in Bucharest by NUCA Studio
How can you get a café appeal to the entire family? It is a tough task, but the Romanian Studio NUCA managed to create a place in Bucharest, where fantasy meets function and creative design. “Phill” is the name of this diverse family hangout, structured on two levels. The first hosts the playground, a multipurpose room and a small café, while the upper floor accommodates a restaurant. The multipurpose room is destined for various events, from movie projections and theater plays to martial arts and ballet lessons. Between the enclosed playroom and multipurpose room- both with their own lighting scheme and especially designed acoustic systems- there is a small café, where parents can watch over their kids through a couple of round openings in the playroom wall. The overall design of this original café is cheerful and interactive. And did you notice the four-meter elephant in the center?
