Maison Roly in Belgium, an Aesthtic Blend of Old and New

We have to say we are particularly fond of home additions on Freshome, as we consider them very challenging. Maison Roly comes from AABE Erpicum & Partners and is actually a bed&breakfast located in Belgium. Since the owners needed extra space, the plan was to expand the house by adding an exterior living-room enclosed in glass. The new extension opens generously towards the beautiful surrounding landscape and offers thrilling views to the people inside. Even though it is very hard to create an aesthetic contrast between old and new, this particular design intrigued us. After all, we imagine it feels really nice to make a few steps and go from a rustic interior into a contemporary one and experience them both within the same residence. What are your opinions regarding this modern addition?-via reflexdeco
