Low Energy Light Bulb with a Fantastic Design : Plumen 001
When designing our homes, we usually tend to hide away light bulbs in any way we can. Plumen comes from English company Hulger and it is said to be the world’s first low-energy light bulb with a particular design. We really liked the statement of Nicolas Roope, the creative director of Hulger and we will share it with you guys, as we consider it the idea that triggered this amazing project: “It’s strange that the bulb, an object so synonymous with ideas, is almost entirely absent of imagination.” Plumen 001 uses 80% less energy than a common household bulb and can last up to eight years. In the same time, its design is various and quite interesting. Its retail price is said to be £20 and it is not yet out on the market in USA, but we think it definitely will be soon. -via Dezeen
