If you WiFi it, people will come.
After trekking through the busy footpaths and congestion in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, I’ve arrived safely in the very established little city of Den Haag, Holland.
A notable difference from Perth, Australia, is the very giving nature of its social institutions. Today I sit in a little library near the coast sucking dry their free, super fast wireless internet (I’ve got work to finish from Australia). I’m not the only one. This library is being used by a huge number of people on a Monday morning no doubt! All tapping away on their little laptops.
Cities should be drenched in Wifi. They are social condensers. It is yet another way to get people flocking to a location, even if they are staring directly into the endless vortex of cyberspace.
