With this kind of reporting who wouldn’t pay for online news content?
“A new KFC monster burger that uses two slabs of fried chicken in place of bread buns has gone on sale in the US to the dismay of nutrition experts”
One can’t help but think of the inevitable demise of “news” corporations when you see these types of articles posted after recent comments by Rubert Murdoch on paying for online content.
I’m sorry I just don’t think media companies are moving quickly enough in the tech stakes. Their business models are too slow to adapt. Content has to be pretty bloody good to be worth paying for, especially when at your fingertips you are competing with a knowledge base so broad people would rather pull up Wikipedia and learn about something than pay for rubbish content put together by two-bit “journos”. The article mentioned above goes on to quote from food forums available on the web! At least we can participate in the discussion at these places free from moderation and sensorship of comments.
The percentage of people in my demographic (Y) that actually buy newspapers is getting smaller rapidly. You better think quick Rupert.
